Old Bahama Bay was founded by principals of Holding Capital Group, Main Street Resources, Allen & Company and many other notable entrepreneurs and CEOs (see founder list that follows). This group shares a common vision and has committed the equity required to date to allow the development to proceed fully funded with over 95% equity.

Holding Capital Group, LLC was begun in 1975 by S. A. Spencer, formerly a partner at McKinsey & Company and CEO of Briggs Manufacturing Co., and was joined in 1978 by James W. Donaghy, formerly with Arthur Andersen & Co. and in private industry. HCG has arranged and acted as principal in over 200 acquisitions and other investments aggregating about $3 billion in value - with transaction sizes from six figures to $150 million. Today the Group has some sixty members with backgrounds in operating businesses and professions.

Main Street is a non-controlling equity firm and generally commits $2-10 million equity capital in transactions that include growth fundings, equity financings, and management buyouts. The marked success and continuous growth of Main Street 's portfolio companies provides a testament to the value of their unique investment approach and business philosophy.
